Simply the best fly-in restaurant I've have flown into
is Henry's Fish Restaurant. Henry's is located on Frying
Pan Island and is located in Georgian Bay. It is accessible
only by boat or seaplane. It is also nominated as one of
Saveur magazine's "Saveur 100" favorite things.
Go for the fish and chips and seafood. In addition, the
view in the summer is absolutely fabulous. You can watch
all the boat traffic and float planes negotiating the channel.
And the people watching is fantastic. Numerous celebrities
have been sighted at Henry's including, Kurt Russell, Goldie
Hawn, Tom Cochrane, as well as various bankers and power
brokers enjoying their wealth. Henry's is open from May
1- October 25. Frying Pan Island is about a 10 minute flight
directly southwest of CPS1 - Parry Sound. It's one of the
best ways I have ever found to spend a day. You won't be
disappointed.
